SUMMARY
- This position is responsible for assisting with machine operations that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, stacking or wrapping containers and maintaining the operation of the different packaging lines.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

- Technical school or manufacturing certification
Experience
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Minimum of three to six months of industrial experience
The following are the preferred qualifications:
- Six or more months of automated packaging experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
The following are the basic qualifications:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The associate is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The associate is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
