Summary of Position:

Responsible to operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facilities which include an industrial wastewater system and separate storm water conveyance system. Remove and spread solids to land application zones with agricultural tractor. Inspect and maintain the sanitary wastewater systems (septic tanks) associated with various buildings. Maintain complete and accurate records on paper and on the computer. Perform operator level preventative maintenance (PM) and equipment inspections.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain and perform minor maintenance repairs to the permitted industrial wastewater treatment facility and associated equipment.
• Perform PMs on equipment associated with the operation of the wastewater treatment plant, plant septic and storm water system.
• Maintain complete and accurate records on paper and on the computer.
• Must follow best maintenance practices
• Use and understand SAP.
• Other duties that may be required and/or assigned

• Understand, comply with, and enforce environmental and safety regulations (i.e. OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.)
• Understand and comply with the following policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and department sanitation requirements.
• Must understand and adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, safety, environmental, legal, and employment policies and procedures.

• Read and interpret blueprints or construction drawings.
• Ability to safely operate, maintain and provide basic repair to a wastewater treatment plant.
• Ability to perform water and wastewater analyzes in a laboratory setting and make corrections to the operating system as needed
• Must have a good understanding of any applicable regulations associated with the operation of an industrial wastewater treatment facility and/or potable water treatment plant.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, computer base, oral, or diagram form.
• Must have the ability to operate heavy machinery and pull heavy loads for land application.

Requirements:

• Shift work, weekends and holidays may be required.

• Pass drug test and background check.

• Understand and follow oral and written directions.

• Must be self-starter.

• Work with minimal direct supervision.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Effectively work with others and management.
• Strong sense of safety
• Ability to operate a John Deere tractor and spreader safely
• Ability to operate a Forklift, High Lift and Telehandler equipment.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must have good skills in math and computers.
• Must have some proficiency in chemistry.
• Will be required to help in other areas of the facility as needed.

(Potable water plant, Facility Maintenance, Labs, Grounds).
